Another Week Begins!

It's monday again!  Last week my hubby had the week off, so we did all sorts of things.  I have to admit, it was hard to get school work done, when the kids wanted to play with daddy, and go on trips.  Hopefully everything will go back to normal this week. We did however go on an educational outing last week.  Oregon state university offers a free natural science discovery day every year, and it happened to fall on the days that my hubby had off.  so we went to that.  It was soooo much fun!  The kids got to pet snakes, lizards, see all sorts  different reptiles, pick apart owl pellets with tweezers and identify it's contents with a magnifying glass, looked at different kinds of molds under microscopes, and got to play with some magnets.  It was a great free family outing.

Recently I have been trying to learn more about the Charlotte mason method.  I have been reading about it, and  researching it.  This method looks like alot of fun, and looks like it could be a good way to get the children to love learning.  I was on the cornerstone curriculum website yesterday, looking at the making math meaningful curriculum.  Is there anyone out there that uses it, that can tell me more about it?  I am very interested in it, but I don't want to just jump into it, and then find that I don't like it.  Is there any charlotte mason homeschoolers that can give me information?

God Bless you all!  Have a great school week!
