I am having a hard time getting my 4 year old to remember that the letter N says "nnnnn" I was starting to get frusterated...so...I ended up writing the Letter N really big on a piece of paper, and taped it to his shirt. He thought it was sooo funny! So my frusteration led to laughter! He is running around the house saying "nnnn" now.. hahaha!! All of the other kids now want something taped to their shirts. I taped the number 25 to my 5 year olds shirt, cause she can't seem to remember it ( she always says 55), and my 2 year old wanted one too, so I drew a picture of a cat, and wrote cat under it. my 6 year old is making his own picture.
Something else that is soo funny, is the fact that my 4 year old calls watermelon, waterwoman. I don't know how he came up with that! It cracks me up!
Today while doing Language arts with my 6 year old, we came to a part where it asks to write down some pronouns. I asked him, do you know what a pronoun is? without missing a beat, he said..yes mom, it's words like he, we, and I. I was speechless! I haven't ever taught him them before! Then I realized, that my teachers manual was open. DUH!! He read the answers REALLY quick!! I asked him if he saw the answers, and he said with a grin...yes. Well, he didn't really know what a pronoun is, but he sure can read good!! Now, when ever someone says a pronoun today, we blow rasberries. Maybe we will remember them that way!
