After so much drama going on in our household right now, I figured it's about time to write something positive.  Today my hubby and I were able to get some alone time, and christmas shop for the kids.  We shopped, and then met up with some good friends of ours for lunch, and a movie.  We went and saw Narnia.  It was pretty good!  There were some things that could have been better, but for the most part they stuck to the book, and there was some good special effects. I wouldn't reccomend it for children under 9 or 10 though.  My kids are want to see it really bad, but I think that it could be a bit too intense for the little ones.

It was a great time driving in the car with my man, talking, and taking a well needed breather from the kids.  Things have been so out of control, and crazy lately, I needed some time to catch my breath, and get my game plan back in focus.  I have been really convicted recently about not spending enough time reading my bible, and having quiet times.  I was reading Jeannie Fulbrights blog, and it cut me to the heart.  I need to strive for alone time with God.  I need to do what ever it takes to get that time in.  Even if it's only 5 minutes.  Thanks for the encouragement Jeannie!!  I am planning on reading a book of the bible over and over as much as I can in one month.  I heard that that is a wonderful way to learn the bible, and also learn the context of a book.  Maybe it will also help in the memorization area!

Well, a new week is just around the corner.  I would really appreciate prayers for me and my homeschool.  This last week I have felt so out of control, and have had doubts about how well I can teach. I pray  for all of you, my homeschooling friends, that you will have a wonderful week this week, and that you and your children accomplish alot, and grow in the Lord.  And that your children's desires to know God will grow also.
