Church

I was reading some blogs that were listed as favorite blogs by one of my friends.  For a while I thought that maybe it was me having a rotten attitude, or a hardend heart towards the church.  I thought that maybe the issue lies with me.  The more I think about it, and the more I read about others feeling the same way about worldly ideas and the church being brought down to a worldly level, the more I see that there must be something going wrong with the modern day church.  I read an awesome blog entry that has a link to a small excerpt written by the legendary D.L. Moody.  Even Moody saw it coming way back when he was alive and preaching.  How would he view the state of the church now?  What would the Apostles say if they were to see how the churches are?  The church that we have attended for almost 7 years, almost has a business like feel to it when you walk in.  They have a bookstore, a coffee bar, you can buy the sermons if you want, and if you want to stay and have lunch, that costs too.  Unless of course you are a visitor, then you can trade in your vistor card and use it as a voucher and get a free lunch.
