When things are well loved, they fall apart

When I was little, I had a special blanket.  I love that blanket so much that it eventually fell apart.  All I have left is a small knot of edging tucked away in a storage bin.

Kids love lots of things.  And when they love something, it tends to fall apart.   I have had to sew up plenty of holes in stuffed animals, tape or glue legs onto toy ponies, and tape plenty of books.

What cracks me up, is just how much my kids LOVE the Vision Forum catalogs.  The moment that catalog comes in the mail, my kids attack it like a swarm of hungry yellow jacket bees.  They look over every page.  Usually by the end of the day I can see which pages have their favorite items on it, because the corners are bent, or the catalog easily opens to that page. Plus I can see that certain items here and there are circled with initials written next to the price.

We have had our Vision Forum catalog for about a week now, I it has been WELL loved.

My daughter has been sad today, knowing that the beloved Vision Forum catalog is in pieces, and we have run out of scotch tape.

I think it might be about time for me to send away for a separate catalog.  One for me, and one for the kids. At least I can be happy though, knowing that my kids adore such a Godly, well respected ministry.
