Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We sure did.
Looking back at our past Christmases, we really bought our children a lot of junk toys. Little toys that would get played with for a short amount of time, then thrown to the side never to be played with again. But the Christmas presents this year, were FAR from junk toys.
We bought most of this years gifts from Vision Forum. I have learned over the year, that if you want GOOD QUALITY toys, Vision Forum is the place to go.
This is what my kids got this Christmas.
Beautiful Girlhood Heirloom Tea Set

When I went to wrap this tea set, I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. The pictures here on my site, and the picture on the Vision Forum site doesn't do it justice. The tea set is nicer than my own set of dishes. It has a beautiful floral pattern, with gold trim. My girls have already had two tea parties since opening it.
Detective Communicator Watches

My boys LOVE listening to the Jonathan Park Adventures (also by Vision Forum!). One of the tools that the creation response team uses in the adventures, is their communicator watches. My boys were very excited when they opened up this gift. They haven't even taken them off yet! Gable says he feels like a spy, or a detective with his on. These watches keep time, and are also walkie talkies that have a mile and half range. They came with ear pieces so the boys can keep their conversations between themselves. Another added bonus to these watches, is the fact that they run on rechargeable lithium ion batteries. No need to keep buying batteries!
Starting today, Vision Forum is having a year end overstock liquidation sale. They have more than 250 items on clearance. You can get these items anywhere from 30-70% off. There are many books, toys, and even homeschool resources for sale. You can't miss this!
You can access this sale by clicking the above banner, or by simply clicking any Vision Forum image or link on my blog.
This is such a wonderful company. They are like minded, family oriented, Godly people. You can't go wrong when you purchase items from them

So fun! Peregrine is saving his money for the Communicator watches! He loves Jonathan Park and learns so much from listening to them. You'll have to let me know how the watches hold up over time. And the tea set looks so sweet. Poppy has a tiny tin tea set that is nice, but I'd like, someday to have one that is a bit more practical for real use. Not quite full size, but somewhere in between. We try to buy our kids good quality things too, that will last for a long time. This year one of the things I did for Poppy was get her a set of measuring cups and spoons, her own purple, flower shaped cutting board, a little cooke sheet, etc. It's all real stuff, not toys, and she's so excited to get to use her own things in the kitchen. I made her an apron too... I'll have to post some pictures.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well!
Love,
Beca
I have been wanting to get my girls their own tea set that is just for each of them. the one that I want would be only 2 place settings so that daugther and I could have a mommy/daughter date. I would like a seperate set for each of them. That one looks like it is really pretty. I love Vision Forum, I've never bought from them but I've looked around. I'll have to try them out sometime.
ReplyDeleteHi Ali!
ReplyDeleteSorry I haven't gotten back to you from the last time you wrote. I'm all done with reading the Laura Wilder books, love that feeling! I hope you guys had a good New Year. All is well over here. I was reading your post about all the snow you had. We got dumped on last week too. So much that we couldn't get out of our door! I hope all is well with you. Take care!
Hi Ali,
ReplyDeleteThose toys look awesome! I ordered a gyroscope from vision forum and can't wait to see it. I know it will be great quality.
We tried hard not to buy junk toys this year either. My kids favorite present was a box which contained 10 reams of paper (That's 5000 sheets)! They love to draw :) It was from their Grandma and Grandpa.
Hope you are having a nice day,
Stacy
