Trying to keep up

I have not been very faithful to my blog.  Poor little wordpress blog...*sigh*   I have been so busy with our adoption contract, house keeping, homeschooling, and teaching 4H that I haven't had a chance to write on my own blog.

Homeschooling has been a bit of a challenge, but so far today has turned out well.  It's 11:00 and all that is left to do is Ethan's math.  Which he is doing right now as I type.

This week was my first week teaching a class at 4H.  I signed up to teach a fiber arts class to homeschoolers 3rd grade and up.  I was very nervous, but I think it turned out ok.    Adam and I made a bunch of drop spindles, and I prepared a bunch of fleece so the kids could practice learning how to spin their own yarn on a spindle.   The thing that made it hard, was trying to help all of them at the same time.   Using a drop spindle takes a lot of patience, practice,  fine motor skills, and coordination.   It can be really tricky learning how to draft out the wool.  One of the girls who was about 13 kept trying, but gave up.  I felt bad, because she was just having a hard time getting the hang of the drafting.  I am not sure what next Monday will be like, or what I should teach.  I don't know if I'll  let them try to use the spindles again, or do something different.  What is really neat though, is that now I have a bunch of drop spindles that I can sell after we finish with the 4H class.

So here is where we are with the adoption.   Our fingerprinting, family photos, application, and one reference is handed in.   I worked on my autobiography yesterday and got that done.   Right now we are just waiting on our tax returns to come in so we can pay for the agency fee, homestudy, and adoption classes.   I am hoping that the government will be quick with the returns this year, because it's all due next month.

My blog designing has really tappered off this week.  It's nice because I have more time to dedicate to other things, but at the same time, I do love having business pour in.   It's in the Lord's though!  He has blessed me so much to even be able to do blog designs.
