It has been really hard to come up with blog posts recently. So much has been going on, yet I can't seem to get words to come out.
We semi-started home schooling last week. We were able to actually get 3 days of schooling in! Today though...I just didn't feel motivated. Along with my disorganization (getting a little better with the workbox idea), I struggle with getting motivated enough to get the home schooling done. I think a lot of that stems from everything that is going on with the adoption. I get too many things going on in my head, and then nothing happens.
We are still trying to fund raise, and scrape up funding. There is really only one option left for us, and that is maxing out our credit cards. I am hoping and praying that our fund raiser attempts will bring in a good amount. Over the next three weekends we are having donation based garage sales. Everything will be up for donation. Any amount that we can get at this point is valuable. I was able to bring in a bit with my blog desining (which I am still doing!) and it felt good to transfer all of that over to our savings account. It has it's designated spot!
We will be having a couple of online fund raisers soon. The first one, is this wonderful puzzle fund raiser. The puzzle is the picture that is shown above. Each puzzle piece is up for sponsorship. You can sponsor a puzzle piece for 5 dollars. Then keep checking back as each sponsored piece is put together. In the end, we have all contributed to the putting together of this beautiful puzzle. This puzzle will be glued together, and hung in the baby's room. They will be reminded of all of those who took part in helping bringing them home to us. I am waiting for the puzzle to come in the mail, but as soon as it arrives, I will start the fund raiser! You will be able to sponsor a puzzle piece using paypal, or you can send your sponorship to my home address (contact me by email if you want to use this method).
Another fund raiser that will be taking place, will be hosted by a good friend of mine who is a consultant for Scentsy. Through out September, Becca will donate 20% of her sales to our adoption. If sales reach a certain amount, the percentage will go up to 25%. And who doesn't like good smelling candles?? You will be able to look through their online catalog, but if you would rather look through a physical catalog, contact me and I'll get one sent out to you. Purchases must be made through Becca's site starting September 1st.
There are more fund raiser ideas floating through my head, and if my ideas actually turn into something I will let everyone know. I have some thoughts about utilizing craigslist, but we will see.
Keep us in your prayers! We still need to reach at least 15,000 to be able to move forward with our adoption.
