We Love George!

There are always little things growing up, that leave lasting memories. I remember all of the little adventures my sister, brother and I had roaming around in the woods around our parents house, catching crawdads, and swimming in the neighbors pond. Unfortunately we don't live somewhere where the kids can run and have adventures, but there is always something to make a memory.

One thing that our children will ALWAYS remember, is George the balloon man. George is elderly gentleman that never leaves home without his bag of balloons and little hand pump. We don't live in a very big town, so when we go on outings chances are we will run into George. George makes balloon animals for every child he sees! There have been many days when we (thinking like an adult) will dread running into George, because we know that our children will HAVE to stand in line, rain or shine, to get their special balloon animals from George. Adam and I always have to reassure ourselves, that no matter how tired we are, we have to let our children get their balloon animals.

When ever we see kids running around with balloon swords or balloon butterflies on their heads, we know that George must be around the corner.

We don't know how many years George the balloon man has left on this earth, but we do know that our children will never, ever forget the kindness, the love, and the charity George the balloon man had for all the children in our little town.

What kind of memories will your children have when they are grown?
