If you all haven't heard by now by following me on my facebook page, we were finally matched with a baby! It has been such a long journey. A lot of prayers have been said. God has answered our prayers by giving us Samuel!
We got the call May 28, telling us that a little boy was born the day before in Texas, and we are the one's chosen for him! It was a whirlwind trip down to Texas. We are so glad that God chose this little guy for our family!
[...] Love at First Sight: Our Journey to Samuel It is amazing to look back at this whole adoption, and see how God had his hand upon us. It all started about 3 weeks ago. I was asked by our adoption agency if we would ever be open to adopting a baby whose birth mother was HIV positive. There was a situation in Florida … After gaining an enormous amount of knowledge in a short amount of time, Adam and I decided that we would indeed adopt a child who could have the possibility of contracting HIV from his birth mother. … … Read more from the original source: Love at First Sight: Our Journey to Samuel [...]

Ali!! I am so happy for you!! He is precious! And so blessed to have you as his mommy! I cried watching the video. I saw a picture of you on Marsha's blog, I have never seen you just talked to you as you worked on my blogs and such. Girl you are so pretty! I wish I could have met you and Marsha! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Congrats!!
What a wonderful gift God has given you, and you are giving precious little Samuel! Glad to hear more of his/your story, and will look forward to meeting him, maybe at Derek's wedding? God bless you all with much love and grace. Beca
Congrats on your adoption! As a fellow adoptive mom, just a gentle note that you may want to keep certain things about Samuel's adoption private. Things he may not want the world (re: world wide web!) to know someday... Just because we are very open to talking about certain things, doesn't mean our kids will be. Just a thought. God bless.
God is indeed so very good to us. These miracle babies are nothing short of awesome gift from Him. I am so thankful for mine and I can easily see that you are thankful for Sam. He is adorable!
And I love the name... my little guys middle name is Samuel!
Congratulations!
