I have been reading about charlotte Mason, and her methods of homeschooling lately, and I thought I'd give it a try by reading some "whole living" books out loud to the kids, and having them narrate back to me what the story was about. The first time I tried getting them to narrate back to me, they got all shy, and didn't want to do it. Sooo...today I pulled out some empty TP rolls, an old pair of nylons, and a pair of Daddy's old ripped work pants (I cut up chunks of pants to use for filling) , and made them each a little microphone. I then had them stand on a bucket, pretend they are on a stage, and tell me about the story we read using our pretend microphones. It was a huge hit!!! They were telling Daddy all about it when he got home. They told Daddy exactly what the story was about!
I took a picture of them with their little microphones to show all of you. They were just too cute! I had to share it!
