Halloween

This time of year is always difficult.  There is always so much halloween stuff everywhere, and we are always faced with questions of what the kids are going to dress up as for halloween.  We decided not to take part in halloween.   I have always kinda felt weird about it, but after doing some research, I REALLY don't want to be a part of it.  It is really scary stuff, knowing where it came from, and what all of the things mean.  Like trick or treating, Jack-o-Lanterns, black cats, etc.  Their origins, and the truth behind why they are done, is so satanic and unholy.   I urge Christians to really look at what halloween is, and make an educated decision based on the facts.  After researching it out, I am definate in my mind, that this is something I, as a christian, should never be associated with.  Here are some good links to information. Be aware!  Some of this stuff made my stomach turn.

Can Halloween be an entirely innocent practice?

On a happy note...my oldest son was born on October 31st!  He will be turning 8.  They grow up so fast!  I can't believe it!  Another happy event that happened on October 31st, is start of the reformation.  Martin Luther nailed his 99 thesis to the door of the Wittenberg church, thus starting the reformation.
