Homemade yogurt

I have been trying to make my own yogurt lately.   The way I have been doing it is a bit different than how others might do it.

I have been using a small cooler which I fill with hot water until it's the right temprature, then put the jar of yogurt in there.  I keep track of the temprature, and add more hot water if the temprature goes down.

So far, it is turning out ok.  I am not sure if I am pulling it out too soon, because it is thin and kinda grainy.  But it tastes like yogurt!

I have been told about all the health benefits from yogurt, kefir, villi, and the different kinds of cultured milk products.  I can't drink kefir straight, and villi has too much of a slimy texture for my liking.  But the yogurt..I can handle that!

Our homeschooling for the week has gone OK.  It is so hard to keep a steady schedule going.  Especially when we still have some of that cold, and when we have dentist appointments.  I will say though, it is nice to be able to make a dentist appointment, and when they ask what the best time is, I say just schedule us when ever.  Homeschooling does allow us to be more flexible with things like that.
