New President adds concern

I wasn't suprised that Obama won the election yesterday.

Going into the voting, my husband and I didn't want to vote for either of the canditates.   We decided to vote for McCain, for the pure reason that there were less disagreements with his campaign, than Obamas.   It really came down to Obama's extreme liberalism.  He is against life, and morals.  He thinks it is ok to murder infants, and ok to redefine marriage.

It is so hard for me to think about.  We are a family dealing with infertility.  We would LOVE to adopt a baby, but it is too expensive.  It's just not fair that women can kill their babies for, when there are tons of families like us who would glady take ANY baby.

There are more concerns among the homeschool community, that our homeschooling and parental freedoms will be threatened with Obama in office.   Time will tell I suppose.

The only thing that we can do as christians now, is pray for this man who will be leading our country.  That God will touch his heart, and his eyes will be opened to the genocide that he disguises as a woman's right to choose.

  1. I think that in all of this earthly political stuff we need to remember that we Kingdom citizens. Yes, we happen to be in a country where we have the freedom to vote and choose our leaders. Yes, we live in a wealthy nation. We also live in a nation that says it was founded on Christian principles, but is, as a nation Godless. God is still God. He hasn't changed even though the presidency has. How will this impact the Kingdom of God? That is what really matters. Will we, as Christian homeschoolers be pressed? Maybe. Our country could use a little stirring up. The hearts in the people of this nation need to be turned to God.

  2. We were so upset to see that he had won but not surprised. My greatest concern is our homeschooling freedom. I am praying that it will not be taken away or restricted.

  3. Your post is the most refreshing post on this subject that I have read. Yet, I agree with the first commenter too. We know that God uses hard things and turns them around for His glory.
