A Bump in the Road

We ran into a bump in the road yesterday with the adoption.  We were hoping that our house would appraise out high enough so we could use the equity to finance it all.  But it ended up appraising WAY lower.  It is tough to get financing in this economy.   I did a lot of crying and praying after that.

Adam is so strong, and was an immediate encouragement.  I know there are lots of options out there for us.  There are fund raisers, garage sales, and car washes.  We just have to pursue them.

Today I have been starting to fill out applications for low interest loans and grants.  It would be a huge blessing if we were to be able to qualify for any of those.

In the meantime, our family would really appreciate your prayers that God would provide us the funds we need, and give us wisdom as to which paths to take.  It is a frustrating place to be knowing that the only thing keeping us from bringing a child into our home is the lack of funds.  We are so close, yet this bump in the road is holding us back.
